Do we need to pay a deposit for the car?

A small reservation deposit is required to confirm your booking as this stops the car being double booked and having problems of a car nor being available for you.

Can I add an additional driver?

Yes, there is a standard € 20 additional drivers fee for the rental period. We will allow one additional driver free of charge if you take the optional Deluxe Protection Insurance.

Is there a delivery charge to our hotel/villa/apartment?

No, we offer free delivery anywhere in the Paphos Region.

Can we obtain Insurance without excess?

Yes for a modest charge and subject to all drivers being over 25 we can offer comprehensive cover with zero excess.

What about Petrol charges?

Return the car back with the same fuel level as when you collected it and is no charge.

Do you provide baby seats?

We supply either a baby seat or booster seat free of charge.

Do you supply GPS?

We supply you with a Free of Charge Navigation App for your smart phone which gives full off-line maps and route finder navigation for Cyprus, including location of nearest petrol station, restaurants and places of interest.

Can I take the car into the Turkish controlled north of the island?

No, this would invalidate the Insurance.

Can I extend the time of the original booking?

Yes, provided you give us at least 24 hours’ notice of your intention.

Is there a limit on mileage?

No, all of our rates include unlimited mileage.

What documentation do I need to hire a car?

A valid driving license (for all drivers) and passports.

Can I take the car off road?

No, all our vehicles are to be operated only on regularly maintained road surfaces.

Can I pay by credit/debit card?

We accept payment by credit/debit card as well as cash.

Will I receive confirmation of my booking?

If you make an online booking we will send you a reservation confirmation by email. You should print this and keep it for your records. When you collect your car you’ll receive a Rental Agreement which shows your booking details.

What if I break down or need help outside office hours?

Simila Car rental provides free 24 hour / 7 days Roadside assistance in case of emergency, breakdown or accident involving your rental car anywhere in Cyprus. Contact details are displayed both in the car and on your rental agreement.

What happens if the car gets damaged?

Please ensure you check over the car yourself when you first collect it. If you notice any damage at all, please tell us and we will record it on the rental agreement. In the event of a road traffic collision do not move the car stand somewhere away from the highway and call our office straight away. You are responsible for the vehicle during the rental period. Any damage caused MUST be paid for by you. If you have the Deluxe Protection Insurance, this is a UK underwritten Reimbursement Insurance Policy, meaning that you pay for the damage caused during the rental period and you claim this money back online via the Insurance Policy, subject to their Terms & Conditions, as described on the Policy details you have received at the beginning of the rental period.

Where can I drop the car off?

The rental vehicle may be returned to the same location you are collecting it from, or to another location – whichever is specified at time of booking. A one-way fee may be incurred if the collection and return locations are different.
